Drawing inspiration from the resourcefulness seen in 'Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope,' where characters often find essential goods and information through clever means, and the strategic economic maneuvering depicted in 'Nightfall,' this project focuses on identifying and presenting discounted energy-saving products. The core idea is to build a web scraper that continuously monitors a curated list of online retailers (think: Amazon, Home Depot, specialized eco-stores) for deals on items like smart thermostats, LED bulbs, energy-efficient appliances, solar chargers, and draft stoppers. The 'Nightfall' element comes into play by analyzing pricing trends and historical data (even if rudimentary for an individual project) to highlight genuinely good deals versus temporary price hikes disguised as sales. The project would involve simple web scraping techniques (using Python libraries like BeautifulSoup or Scrapy) to extract product names, prices, original prices, discount percentages, and URLs. This scraped data would then be processed and presented to the user through a simple web interface or even a regular email newsletter, akin to 'energy scrolls' of valuable information.
