Ad-Melange

A predictive intelligence tool for podcasters that analyzes competitor ad placements to reveal active sponsors in their specific niche. It inverts the traditional sponsor discovery process by showing creators which brands are already spending money to reach their target audience.

The project, 'Ad-Melange', is a SaaS platform that functions as a sponsorship intelligence service for podcasters. The name is a nod to the 'spice melange' from 'Dune', a priceless resource that grants prescience. In this context, the 'spice' is highly specific advertising data, and the 'prescience' is the ability for a podcaster to accurately predict which companies are most likely to sponsor their show.

The concept combines inspirations from all three sources. From 'Invoices and Payments' scraper, it takes the core mechanic of automatically ingesting and parsing data—not from web pages, but from audio files—to extract structured financial information (who paid for an ad). From 'Tenet', it adopts the philosophy of inversion. Instead of a podcaster creating content and then pushing it out to find sponsors (a forward flow of effort), they use Ad-Melange to look backward from successful ad campaigns on other shows to find sponsors who are already looking for them (an inverted flow of information).

How it works:
1. Ingestion & Scraping: The system continuously monitors thousands of podcast RSS feeds across various niches. When a new episode is published, it's automatically downloaded.
2. Transcription & Analysis: The audio file is processed through an AI transcription service. The resulting text is then analyzed using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to detect ad reads. The algorithm looks for trigger phrases like 'sponsored by', 'our partner for this episode', 'head over to', 'use our promo code', etc.
3. Data Extraction: When an ad is identified, the system extracts key data points: the name of the sponsoring brand, the date of the episode, the position of the ad (pre-roll, mid-roll), and the call-to-action details (URL/promo code).
4. The 'Melange' Database: This extracted data is organized into a searchable database. A podcaster subscribes to the service and defines their niche or lists a few key competitor podcasts.
5. Predictive Dashboard: The user is presented with a dashboard showing a curated list of 'High-Potential Sponsors'. This list includes brands that are actively and recently spending money on podcasts just like theirs. It provides analytics on which brands are trending in their niche, how frequently they sponsor, and which shows they partner with, effectively giving the podcaster a list of warm leads and saving them hundreds of hours of manual research and cold outreach.
