EventHorizon: Remembered Events
A portable, AI-assisted event management system tailored for individuals with memory impairments, leveraging micro-transactions for support network involvement.
Inspired by Memento's fragmented recall and I, Robot's focus on dependable automation, EventHorizon addresses the challenges of event planning for individuals with memory loss or cognitive difficulties. The story: imagine a retired professor, struggling with early-stage Alzheimer's, still wanting to host his annual alumni reunion. He uses EventHorizon.
Concept: EventHorizon is a pared-down, mobile-first event management app. Its core feature is 'Remembered Tasks': small, micro-transaction-funded tasks delegated to trusted contacts (family, friends, caregivers). Instead of a comprehensive system, it focuses on discrete actions. Think 'Pay caterer $50, confirm receipt $5' or 'Remind Uncle Joe about his dietary needs $2'. The person managing the event initializes a task, sets a reward (a small monetary amount managed through Stripe or similar), and assigns it to a contact. The contact receives a notification, completes the task (with photographic/video evidence of completion attached via the app), and gets paid. If no one claims the task within a certain timeframe, the AI assistant (powered by a basic NLP model) sends a more urgent prompt, possibly increasing the reward. The system 'learns' preferred contacts for specific tasks based on past completion rates, creating a personalized support network.
How it works:
1. Minimalist Interface: Focuses on core event details (date, time, location, key participants).
2. 'Remembered Tasks' Creation: Simple form to define a task, assign a reward, and delegate to a contact.
3. Contact Management: Allows users to easily import and manage trusted contacts.
4. Task Completion and Verification: Contacts receive notifications, complete tasks, and provide proof.
5. Micro-Transaction System: Securely manages payments to contacts via Stripe or similar API.
6. AI Reminder System: A basic NLP model analyzes task descriptions and sends timely reminders to both the event organizer and assigned contacts, escalating if necessary.
7. 'Event Timeline': A visual, chronologically ordered record of completed tasks, with attached media, allowing the event organizer to 're-experience' the planning process and remember the event details.
Earning Potential: The micro-transaction model combined with a freemium subscription tier (more contacts, larger events, advanced AI features) provides multiple revenue streams. The niche focus on memory impairment makes it a valuable tool for a specific demographic willing to pay for reliable support.
